Law education in Russia is built up on the European undergraduate system, wherein a student is eligible to pursue LLB straight after his/her secondary school. Russia offers various specialisations in the field of Law like Civil, Public International, Criminal, Administrative and Financial. The study year is divided into two terms. In the end of each term, students have to pass oral examinations. They are also required to pass practicum in courts, prosecutor and notary offices, state agencies and law firms. 
 
 
A Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or ‘Bakalvr Jurisprudentsyi’ is of 4 years duration in Russia while Specialist in Law, ‘Spetsialist Pravovedenya’ is of 5 years duration. A Master’s in Law (LLM) or ‘Magistr Jurisprudentsyi’ if of two years duration where as a PhD in Law or ‘Kandidat Yuridicheskih’ in Russia is of 3 years duration.
